Biography

Committed Mind was founded in 2002. Everything started with Patrice and Bruno who were co-workers and they decided to have some jam sessions just for fun. Then they formed a new band and Bruno asked Eric to join them because Bruno formed a band with him in the past and the chemistry was there.  After only few sessions, Bruno expressed his idea of composing their own music and it marked the beginning of Committed Mind.

The first song composed was Slave To Desire. Everyone in the band were proud of their efforts, then 6 others songs were composed. A nice musical diversity took root in the strong characteristics and influences of each songs.  This diverse blend turned nevertheless into a common style, which was already very promising for an album.

The demo obtained was the perfect tool to find a singer in order to integrate the vocals.  After a few unfruitful auditions, Patrick did his audition and the guys were unanimous and very satisfied. The addition of Patrick to the band in the summer of 2003 marked the beginning of the band as a whole.

Thus, Patrick's musical touch brought the final arrangements to the songs, and three new creations were completed. Being very implicated with all the studio stages and process, after 1 year and nine months, the band finished the production of their very own Cyborgs of Freedom, a dream come true !

With the arrival of Reg Samson, the founding trio of Bruno, Patrice and Eric is very excited by the turn of events to the band. New ideas are exchanged and a new chemistry is forming. Reg is taking charge of the vocal aspect and the rythm guitar.

The quartet is now on a new departure with the preparation of the shows and new songs are being written for the second album.

Lévis, Québec, Canada

Musical Influences :
James Hetfield (Metallica), Sully Erna (Godsmack), Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Dave Mustaine (Megadeth), Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society)

Description :
At a young age, Reggy wanted to play electric guitar more than anything. His interest in rock and metal music got bigger during his teenage years. By the end of high school, his passion for music was a starting point for a cover band with 3 good friends and co-workers in which he was playing lead guitar and singing back vocals.
After leaving this band in 2004, he ended up playing an acoustic show at a corporate christmas party... and the many encouraging critics about his singing skills led to the formation (in 2006) of a classic rock cover band, in which he took charge for the lead vocals and lead guitars. That's where he really got the singing thing kicked in second gear.
Realising his interest laid more towards writing his own Hard Rock and Heavy Metal songs, he moved forward to other projects...and then came the Committed Mind audition...and GIG!!!
Aside singing and playing guitar, Reggy is a talented lyricist that has studied English language arts (such as poetry and essay writing). He also plays drums and bass guitar.
